SSL and TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

General information on cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device by the browser you are using when you visit our website. In this way, you can "recognise" individual services of a website and "remember" which settings you have made. On the one hand, this serves the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, cookies are used to collect statistical data on website usage and to use the data obtained for analysis and advertising purposes.

Cookies are also used to store information about the website display when you visit our website, such as your preferred language or your region. If the information of a preference cookie is lost, the use of the website may become more cumbersome, but usually does not lead to a failure. There is a preference cookie in most users' browsers. Your browser sends this cookie with requests to our website. The preference cookie in your browser may store your settings and other information, in particular your preferred language (e.g. German) and the country version.

Some cookies are automatically deleted from your end device as soon as you leave the website (so-called session cookies). Other cookies are stored for a specific period of time that does not exceed two years (persistent cookies). We also use so-called third-party cookies, which are managed by third parties in order to offer or utilise certain services.

You can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it should be noted that the use and in particular the ease of use are restricted without cookies.

    These are:
  • IP address of the user
  • Name of the website or file accessed

  • Amount of data transferred
  • Notification of successful retrieval
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system of the user

  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page))

This data is not merged with other personal data that you actively provide on the website. We collect server log files for the purpose of administering the website and recognising and preventing unauthorised access.

    Legal basis
The personal data in log files are processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This authorisation allows the processing of personal data within the scope of the "legitimate interest" of the controller, unless your fundamental rights, freedoms or interests prevail. Our legitimate interest lies in easier administration and the ability to recognise and track hacking. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons relating to your particular situation that speak against data processing. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@edcud.de.

    What are IP addresses?
IP addresses are assigned to every device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, PC) that is connected to the internet. Which IP address this is depends on the Internet access via which your device is currently connected to the Internet. It may be the IP address assigned to you by your internet provider, for example if you are connected to the internet at home via your Wi-Fi. However, it can also be an IP address assigned to you by your mobile phone provider or the IP address of a provider of a public or private Wi-Fi or other Internet access. In its currently most common form (IPv6), the IP address consists of four blocks of digits. As a private user, you will not usually use a constant IP address, as this is only temporarily assigned to you by your provider (so-called "dynamic IP address"). With a permanently assigned IP address (so-called "static IP address"), it is in principle easier to clearly assign user data. Except for the purpose of tracking unauthorised access to our website, we do not use this data for personal purposes, but only evaluate on an anonymised basis which of our websites are favoured, how many visits are made daily and the like.

Our website already supports the new IPv6 addresses. If you already have an IPv6 address, you should also know the following: The IPv6 address consists of eight blocks of four. As with the entire IPv4 address, the first four blocks are typically assigned dynamically for private users. However, the last four blocks of an IPv6 address (the so-called "interface identifier") are determined by the end device that you use to browse the website. Unless otherwise set in your operating system, the so-called MAC address is used for this purpose. The MAC address is a type of serial number that is unique for each IP-enabled device worldwide. We therefore do not save the last four blocks of your IPv6 address. We generally recommend that you activate the so-called "Privacy Extensions" on your end device in order to better anonymise the last four blocks of your IPv6 address. Most common operating systems have a "Privacy Extensions" function, although in some cases this is not set by default.

    Dauer der Datenspeicherung
The server log files with the above-mentioned data are automatically deleted after 2 years at the latest. We reserve the right to store the server log files for longer if there are facts that suggest unauthorised access (such as an attempt at hacking or a so-called DDOS attack).

  1. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics sets several "cookies" to identify your browser.

The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website so that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Further information on the implementation of this function can be found here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/ip-anonymization. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

    Legal basis
The processing of personal data by Google Analytics is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This authorisation allows the processing of personal data in the context of the "legitimate interest" of the controller, unless your fundamental rights, freedoms or interests prevail. Our legitimate interest lies in analysing the use of our website. You can prevent the transmission of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons relating to your particular situation that speak against data processing. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@edcud.de.

    Data storage duration
The personal reference is immediately prevented by the partial deletion of the IP addresses, so that only statistical data is stored.
  2. Google Ads Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc ("Google"). This function is used to present interest-based adverts to visitors to the website as part of the Google advertising network. The website visitor's browser stores so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which make it possible to recognise the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can then be presented with adverts that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google's remarketing function. According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
  3. Google Maps API

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer

    Legal basis
We base the processing of personal data by Google Maps API on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This authorisation allows the processing of personal data in the context of the "legitimate interest" of the controller, unless your fundamental rights, freedoms or interests prevail. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement of our website and our offer by presenting our accessibility. You can find more information about Google's data processing at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de. You can also change your personal settings there. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons relating to your particular situation that speak against data processing. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@edcud.de.

    Duration of data storage
The personal reference is immediately prevented by the partial deletion of the IP addresses, so that only statistical data is stored.

  1. Cookies and plug-ins to improve user-friendliness
We use cookies to improve the user-friendliness of our website. For example, we can facilitate electronic communication processes. Furthermore, the cookies we use enable us to use pseudonymised data to provide you with offers tailored to your interests on third-party websites.

    Legal basis
The cookies mentioned are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. In all cases, this is pseudonymous data that enables categorisation into a specific user group on a statistical basis (e.g. gender, age, place of residence or profession). No personal reference is made and we do not use a comprehensive advertising network. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons relating to your particular situation that speak against data processing. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@edcud.de.

    Duration of data storage
The data will be deleted after 2 years at the latest.
